Acts 2:42-47 · The Fellowship of the Believers

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

A little boy was standing on the side of the road when a man drove by who was lost. He stopped and rolled down his window and said, "Son, how do you get to town?"

The little boy said, "I don't know."

He said, "Where is Route 20?"

The little boy said, "I don't know."

He said, "Where does this road go?"

The little boy said, "I don't know."

The man, now exasperated said, "What is the name of this street that I am on?"

The little boy said, "I don't know."

The man sighed and said, "Boy, you don't know anything do you?"

The little boy said, "I know I am not lost!"

That story does illustrate a great truth. If you don't know where you are, then you really cannot know how to get to where you need to be.
