P: Let us pray: Almighty God, Lord of heaven and earth, inYour divine goodness You sent Your Son to be our Savior.

C: Without Jesus we are a people who are perishing in oursins.

P: With Christ we have been saved from our sins and have thegift of eternal life.

C: We pray that you would continue to strengthen us in ourfaith as we look to all the witnesses of Jesus' saving word, evenwhen some of those witnesses happened to be enemies of our Lord.
