
This is a difficult pantomime to produce, since it requires two sets, exactly the same, but with the second having a higher ceiling. One can use the same set throughout, but substitute a bed with a lower end during the first blackout.
Lighting is very useful for this sketch and proper use of it will make the production realistic and effective. The play is also good for reading and discussing in a group.
Open on a man, asleep on a bed, on top of the covers, fully clothed. After a few seconds, the man wakens, stretches, moves around on the bed, swings himself into a sitting position, and goes through a brief wake up routine.
