THIS IS NOT A BATHROBE DRAMA! REPEAT: Please do not wear bathrobes!
Although the events of the birth of Jesus occurred nearly two thousand years ago, it is a story which needs to be retold again and again, and each time it is restated, it should be with newness, freshness, and with a sense of being current news. Therefore, the characters in this play should wear modern clothing, something to show their position in regards to today’s economy. For instance, the shepherds could wear blue jeans and the wise men might wear suits.
This is a celebration of the birth of Christ. It should be played with a hushed excitement for he is the Savior of the world.
