Good morning, boys and girls. How many of you have lost some of your teeth, your baby teeth? (Let them answer.) Almost all of you and some day every one of you will lose the teeth that you have had since you were babies. Then what happens? (Let them answer.) That's right, you get new teeth with big roots that will last all of your life. Teeth are very important to us because they help us to eat the correct kind of foods that we need to grow. They also make us look good when we smile. We all kid each other when we lose our front baby teeth.
