WHERE DO I GO FOR A REFILL?

SUBJECT:  Exhaustion, spiritual nourishment, church 

CHARACTERS:  Waiter, Man 

SETTING:  Diner 

PROPS:  Table and chairs, coffee pot and coffee cup,

plate with some food, apron for waiter 

Waiter:  "Hey, what can I get you?" 

Man:  "Burger and a cup of coffee, please." 

Waiter:  "You got it." 

Man:  "Oh, and keep the refills coming." 

Waiter:  "Whatever you say." 

(Waiter brings him burger and coffee.  Man gulps down the

coffee and motions for more) 

Man:  "Refill, please." 

Waiter:  "You must have a late night ahead of

you." 

Man:  "Oh yeah.  I can''t let up for a few more hours

at least." 

Waiter:  "Well, our coffee''s strong enough to do the

trick." 

Man:  "Feels like it''ll take more than coffee to

keep me going." 

Waiter:  "Well, it''s the only thing that''s legal, if

you know what I mean." …
