Object: A diamond or other precious stone

Good morning, boys and girls. I read somewhere that one of the first diamonds found in the great South African diamond fields was discovered by the young child. He was playing beside a brook near his father's cottage when he came across this lovely stone. Some time later a peddler came to the cottage.
