“Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly;...” (Isaiah 58:1-9a)

In the beginning of Romans, Chapter I, Paul makes a rather remarkable statement after his notorious inventory of the world's moral chaos,-envy, murder, strife, deceit, gossip, idolatry, sexual perversion.

Why this bad behavior? Because people don't follow the law? Because we don't lead our lives in accordance with the Bible? Because affluence and immorality go hand-in-hand?

Although any of these might be given as reasons for moral malaise, Paul gives none of them. Rather Paul says, people gave glory to the world, and to human creations, that they ought give only to God. “They exchanged the glory of the immortal God/or images resembling mortal beings, or birds or four-footed animals…
