I don't know why I couldn't have seen it at the time, but there wasn't anything in Jesus' life that didn't matter. Everything had some kind of kingdom meaning. Take that little scripture you heard today. I knew Matthew, and it amazes me that he could see the meaning in our preparation for Jesus' last passover, and I couldn't.
