You hear a THUD of a flat tire as you drive down the highway. As you wrestle the jack out of the trunk, it’s possible you might utter, “I didn’t see that coming.” 

You might think you are meeting your spouse for a quiet dinner only to find the whole restaurant full of friends for your surprise party. “Didn’t see that coming” could be your pleased response.
