It was the day before the Passover began when Jesus met with his disciples and told them that he had made a reservation for them to celebrate the Passover meal at a guest house in Jerusalem. A guest house was usually an upstairs room that people kept for special friends. Many homes still have a guest room that is kept extra nice for friends who visit from out of town. We don’t know who invited Jesus to use their home on this special occasion, but we do know that Jesus must have really appreciated it.

The picture that you are looking at is not the same one that Jesus visited on a particular day, but it is the place that Christians visit in Jerusalem to remind them of this one night.
