Death of a Down's Syndrome Adult
This sermon was used at the funeral of a thirty-seven-year-old afflicted with Down's Syndrome. He never acquired the ability to speak even a few words. He was kept at home and cared for throughout his life by his parents. He died after only a very short illness.
What is it that gives value to life? In the eyes of the world it is intelligence and the ability to produce.
