Jesus used to tell parables to the people and sometimes they understood the parable and sometimes they did not. Do you know what a parable is? [Let them answer.] A parable is a story about someone or something that could happen but hasn’t happened. It is a pretend story. Jesus used to make up stories or parables and tell them to the people so that they would better understand God and people.
