Wealth is relative. Years ago, when Archbishop Rembert G. Weakland was head of the Benedictine Order, he visited a high school in Lubumbashi, Zaire. The headmaster presented him to the students with a list of all his accomplishments. He told about the archbishop's degree in piano playing from the Julliard School of Music. This did not make an impression on the students; they had no point of reference. The number of languages the Archbishop spoke meant little to them, since they all spoke Kiswahili, French, and perhaps another dialect at home. They had never even heard of Columbia University. Finally, one courageous young man raised his hand.
"But, Father Headmaster," he asked, "you have not told us yet the most important thing: how many wives does he have?"
