Jesus
Four solo voices
(Solo 4 doubles as the Narrator, Solo 3 doubles as Abraham, and Solo 1 doubles as the Rich Man.)

Narrator (Solo 4): Jesus, in talking to his disciples, told them an interesting incident, he said,

Jesus: There was a certain rich man,

Solo 1: A very rich man,

Solo 2: A man of great possessions,

Solo 3: And possessions mean power.

Jesus: There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed and lived each day in mirth and luxury.

Solo 4: Imagine the regal robes,

Solo 3: Plenty of entertainment every day,

Solo 1: And anything he wanted - to eat, to see, to hear.

Solo 2: What a way to live!

Jesus: One day Lazarus, a diseased beggar, was laid at his door.

Solo 2: Poor Lazarus, full of sores,

Solo 3: Tattered …
