This is not the beatitude of anyone claiming "I am the greatest." In fact, like all the other beatitudes, we have to wonder how practical these words are. What business could survive being meek? We tend to think of the meek as the casualties, not as the winners. "Miserable are the meek, because they get trampled upon." We live in a world of assertiveness training.
