The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
The Mausoleum in Egypt
The Coliseum of Rhodes
The Lighthouse of Alexandria
The Great Pyramid of Gaza

You may recognize this list as comprising what is now known as the "Seven Ancient Wonders of the World." The reason why they were called wonders is because of the time they existed they were seen as the greatest man-made structures on earth. Well, they may have been great, but only one of them still exists, and that is the great Pyramid of Gaza. They were legendary but they were not lasting.
