Good morning, boys and girls. How many of you have ever played with a lock and key? (Let them answer.) Good, almost all of you. Have any of you ever been locked up so that you could not get out? (Let them answer.) I hope not, because that is very frightening. Today we are going to pretend that we are locked up so that we cannot leave where we are, and we will think about how awful it is.

I want you to come close together in a bunch and pretend that you are in a small room. Now I am going to lock you up with this lock so that you cannot get out. The lock is called sin. You are not free anymore. You cannot go anywhere, you cannot eat unless I feed you, or drink unless I bring you a glass of water. You cannot lay down or walk around…
