Good morning, boys and girls. I brought a cane to church today. You all know that I don't really need a cane to walk, but I brought the cane because I want to have you think about something special. This cane belongs to someone else, and I asked to borrow it just for today. You see the curved part of the cane, here at the top. What does that part do? (Let them answer.) That's right. The curved part is the handle you hold onto when you want to walk. And then the cane will help to hold you up, like a third leg.
