Not only that, she was a woman with a reputation; everybody knew that she was a "sinner." But that knowledge didn’t stop her from entering Simon’s home uninvited and unannounced; rather her self-knowledge - her awareness of her sinful estate and her desire to gain forgiveness - compelled her to do what she did.
