Object: A thermometer, a heating pad, and a bad cough.

Good morning, boys and girls. I brought a few things that I have been using this week to share with you. (Bring out the heating pad and thermometer.) I have had all of the aches and pains that a person can have and still be living. In addition to this I have been coughing. (Give them an example of your very best cough.) When I cough it hurts right down to my toes. I don't know which are worse, the days or the nights. Have any of you been sick this week? (Let them answer.)
