There are many special days in a year and today is one of those days. Who knows what today is? (Children respond.) Today is Father's Day. We take time today to thank our fathers for all they do. I know some boys and girls don't have fathers; that might make you feel sad today, but if you don't have a father, you can thank someone who is like a father to you.

This morning, I want to tell you a story about my father. This is a true story that happened when I was a little girl. My family was camping in the mountains and we decided to go on a hike.
