Good morning, boys and girls. I read in the Bible today that Jesus said he was going to make men like Peter and John fishers of men. Do you know what that means? (Let them answer.) I think it means that they would catch men just like they caught fish. Did you know that Peter and his brother Andrew, and also James and John were fishermen? That was their job and they were pretty good at it. Every morning they would get in their boats and go out on the lake to catch fish and bring them home to sell. Some days they would catch a lot, and some days they would catch very few. There are not many people who still fish the way they did in those days.
