Allan A. Hunter, pastor for many years at Mount Hollywood Congregational Church, was a spiritual giant whose witness to world peace and social justice was legendary. After the memorial service for Allan at Mount Hollywood, where I then was pastor, a woman came up to me and recounted the following incident: “I knew Allan Hunter was a saint when he accepted the sticky candy egg my daughter held all through the Easter service, thanked her for it, and ate it.”
