Boys and girls, how many of you know your birthday? (Let them answer.) How many of you know where you were born? Since you were too young when it happened to remember it, how is it that you know this information now? That's right. Our parents told us. And we might have seen one of these with our name on it. (Show them the birth certificate.) This birth certificate tells what my name is, who my parents are, when I was born and where. It is a special piece of paper because it tells anybody who wants to know - or who needs to know - that I am really who I am. It guarantees that I belong to the parents that I always thought I did.
