Good evening, boys and girls! I certainly am pleased to see so many of you here. I hope you will all try to come back next week, and every week during this season of Lent, because each week I am going to give you a piece like this (show print of serpent), to fasten to your own banner like this one (show mini banner).

During the season of Lent, we think and talk about Jesus, and how he suffered and died for us on the Cross. Each week this year, our sermon will involve one of the people who were there, someone who saw him suffer and die. But each week we are also going to have a special message for you children, dealing with some of the creatures who were there, or involved in one way or another.
