Props: A chain (if possible one large enough to go around all the children), a lock, and hymn books.
Lesson: [Hold up the chain.] I brought a chain today because I wanted to tell you a story. How many of you would like to wear this around your hands and feet all day long and be kept from going anywhere? Start wrapping the children in the chain while you tell the story of Paul and Silas. Use your best judgment about how to place the chain around them. The purpose is not to constrict them, just to give them an idea. Don't speak to them about what you are doing. Just tell the story.
