Today, we are going to look at Jesus from behind another mask. You will remember that while we cannot really bring back the people who lived at the time of Jesus, we can remember what they did or what they said. We never hear about the man that we are going to talk about tonight until the time that Jesus was carrying his cross up the hill toward Calvary. Jesus did not look very handsome now. He had been beaten bloody by the soldiers who were commanded to do so by the Governor Pilate. He had not slept all night and soldiers had been making fun of him and spitting on him and doing everything that they could think of to make him feel bad.
