READINGS
Psalter—Psalm 1:1
First Lesson—Spiritual transformation, not merely new rituals, are what the Eternal One desires from God’s people. Acts 1:15-17, 21-26
Second Lesson—The greatest affirmative action in history is the sending of Jesus as the confirmation of God’s gracious promises. 1 John 5:9-13
Gospel—Only God has the final authority to forgive our sins and that authority was shared with the Son of Man, Jesus of Nazareth. John 17:6-19
