Pastor: God has made it clear who we are, and whose we are.
People: We are children of God, and we belong to him.
Pastor: Yes, we are God's children by his choice. And he wants it to be our choice, too.
People: May the way we live reveal our praise and thanksgiving for being a part of God's family!

Most merciful God: Like a father who provides for his family, and like a mother who nourishes her babies, you have chosen us to be your children! Keep us mindful of our identity; that we may live up to our name, and give you honor and glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
