Prayer of Confession
God compassionate and gracious, long suffering, ever constant and true, forgive our iniquity, rebellion and sin. We admit that we are only too willing to take advantage of your forgiving nature. We go on stubbornly in selfish ways and persist in sins that take their toll on generations to come. We risk our own health and the health of the unborn with the use of substances you did not create for our bodily use. We refuse your offered power to liberate us from enslaving habits. Forgive our unwillingness to change even for our health's sake; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
