THEOLOGICAL CLUE
In many parts of the Christian church, this Sunday will be remembered and, in some places, celebrated as Reformation Sunday, depending on the lectionary followed and the calendar year. Observation of Reformation Day, October 31, is basically limited to schools and seminaries, mostly Lutheran, at that. But the festival itself is undergoing a kind of transformation, emphasizing what God is doing in the present rather than stressing what God did in the past.
