Theme: Being borne on eagle's Wings

Exegetical Note
One of the most striking images of God in the Pentateuch appears in this passage: God is (like) an eagle, who bears the chosen people out of captivity and to God's very self. This underemployed image certainly "works" for both the people of the old covenant and those of the new as well.
