Suggestion: Sensitize the congregation, at this point in worship, to the world's hungry and thirsty, both in a physical way and a spiritual way. We need reminders, as the body of Christ, that God calls us to minister on behalf of all persons in need. Maybe the only thing we can do is to become sensitive. Maybe our sensitivity will direct our actions.

Try this: Continue the act of sensitizing the people. Ask the people to consider silently their calling in Christ. What is their purpose for being? as Christians? as a congregation?
