Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Leader: We come to you in our weakness, O Lord, not knowing how to pray as we ought.
All: We hold on to the things around us, expecting them to bring us happiness, expecting them to give us life.
Leader: We pray that your mighty Spirit would breathe in us, that we might let go of all that keeps us from loving you.
All: We pray that as we acknowledge the depth of our sin before you, you would hold on to us, so we know nothing can separate us from your love.
