This is Trinity Sunday. The Trinity is an interesting and puzzling concept--God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But it fits in nicely with our theme for the day which is interdependence. It is impossible to think of God as Father without also thinking of God as Son and God as Holy Spirit. It is also impossible to think of creation without a Creator, and a Creator without created beings. And thus we come to our lesson for the day.
You are probably familiar with the modern telling story of the creation from the feminist perspective.
One day in the Garden of Eden, Eve calls out to God, "Lord, I have a problem!"
"What's the problem, Eve?"
"Lord, I know you've created me and have provided this beautiful garden and all of these wonderful animals, but I'm just not happy."
