Early one April a retired Kansas farm couple were rescued from their car where they had been trapped by snowdrifts for thirteen days. Orville and Nellie Obendorf said they survived the ordeal with the aid of prayer, blankets, one copy of Good Housekeeping Magazine, and two boxes of Girl Scout cookies – peanut butter and mint.
