27:20–21 The last two verses of Exodus 27 return attention to the children of Israel, the Tent of Meeting, and the Testimony (Ten Commandments). The people were to bring the purest olive oil for the lamps in the holy place. Aaron and his sons were to keep them burning before the LORD from evening till morning (also Lev. 24:2–4). The light would be a sign of the presence of God among them, even through the night. This was to be a lasting ordinance among the children of Israel.
