On several occasions I have heard persons say, "God is good -- all the time!" I often wonder if they are responding to a single act of kindness of God or if they really do understand the faithful nature of the God we serve. Is our response to God usually only the result of something God has done for us or do we hold before us a constant reminder that God keeps his promises? In a society where we expect things to come so easily, we sometimes forget that God has a plan that connects us with his sovereign will. Our text opens with a promise and provision.
