Each show opened with these words: “The story you are about to see is true; the names have been changed to protect the innocent.”
This morning the story you are about to see is true; the names have not been changed to protect the guilty.
Christians don’t believe guilt is bad. Guilt is to our soul as fever is to our body. Sure, it doesn’t make us feel good. But it’s that bad feeling that alerts us that something is wrong and needs attention. The person who has no guilt is called a psychopath. The person who is guilt-ridden is called someone in need of God’s forgiveness.
