If you haven't done this, try it: With several members of the congregation, simulate the despair of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, as Jesus looked toward the end, and as the disciples stood by helplessly and powerless, in silence.

After several moments of silence, invite the people to sing: "Beneath the Cross of Jesus"

Follow this with a prayer for Maundy Thursday.
