In one of the world’s most revolutionary documents, is found these immortal words: “We hold these truths to be self—evident, that all men are created equal.” Of course, that document, the Declaration of Independence, is the charter of the American Revolution. Though we have not yet lived up to it, it has been the vision that inspires us. It's vision has also been the target of oppressive regimes around the world. Not least of which is Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda.

The only document I know that is more revolutionary is in our Bible. It is called the Magnificat. It is found in Luke, chapter 1, verses 39 through 56.
