Good morning, boys and girls. How many of you have a magnifying glass at home? (Let them answer.) A lot of you do. What does a magnifying glass do? (Let them answer.) That's right, it makes the thing that you are looking at bigger. It is easier to read or see when you use a magnifying glass. A lot of older people use a magnifying glass to read the newspaper or to read their Bible. It is a big help to them since their eyes do not see as well to read as they used to. Now they can still read the things that they like to read without any trouble. A magnifying glass makes things bigger.
