One time Jesus told a story about a lost sheep. A shepherd takes care of sheep. The shepherd in Jesus’ story had exactly one hundred sheep. At the end of the day, the shepherd counted his sheep and there were only 99 sheep instead of one hundred. That meant he had lost one of his sheep.
