PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Creating Spirit, hear our confession. We are often forgetful of who we are and in whose likeness we are created. We regret the imbalance in our lives that too often allows our appetites to run away with us, so that we seem to live for eating and drinking and love-making. Our minds are too busy with plans to get ahead and satisfy bodily desires to the exclusion of the refreshment of the spirit, the exercise of the mind, the discipline of the body. Forgive our excesses and deliver us from them through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
