Good morning, boys and girls. Do you like corn? I sure do. I like corn-on-the-cob, popcorn, corn casserole, just about everything you can make that has corn in it. Corn is a very interesting plant. All during the day, the corn stalk soaks up sun, and nutrients from the soil, and fertilizer. The corn needs these things to grow. So all day the corn soaks in all this stuff that it needs to grow healthy and big. But the corn doesn't grow during the day. Instead, the corn only grows at night. Isn't that strange?
