SUBJECT: Christmas, insignificance

CHARACTERS: Joseph, Mary, Head nurse, Other nurse 

PROPS: Hospital type clothing (white jackets, etc), stack

of papers to represent forms (Might want Mary and Joseph to dress in ancient

Hebrew-type garb) 

SETTING: In a large hospital 

Joseph: "Excuse me, ma''am, my wife is having a

baby.  Do you have some room here to take care of her?" 

Nurse: "Have you filled out all the required

forms?" 

Joseph: "What forms?" 

Nurse: "All these forms.  We need to know your name,

address, all pertinent information, your life story, your wife''s life story,

all insurance information, any allergies--" 

Joseph: "But you don''t understand.  My wife is great

with child." 

(Nurse turns to other nurse and remarks snidely.) 

Nurse: "Boy, if I had a nickel for every time some

father said…
