Yesterday my son, as he often does, read cartoons to me. One was Dennis the Menace. Dennis is kneeling beside his bed, devoutly gazing toward heaven, saying his prayers. The caption read, “You’ll be glad to know that I only broke three-ana-half commandments today.”
Only three-ana-half! Way to go, Dennis! Well, the cartoon is funny, but do we think of obedience in terms of gaining God’s attention, or another’s attention, with our holiness?
