Rev. James W. Moore, pastor of St Luke’s in Houston Texas tells the following story. A young lawyer called me one morning to ask a favor. He wanted me to visit one of his clients… who was at that moment behind bars. He was in jail awaiting trial for armed robbery. When the lawyer said the prisoner’s name, I recognized it immediately. There had been quite a bit of discussion and information about him in the newspapers and on television. He was from somewhere out west. He had been arrested for robbery. He had been painted by the media to be mean, wicked, ruthless, evil, unfeeling, and uncaring. He looked the part.
