The first in a series of “teen age soap operas” that hit prime time TV was named for a zip code—“90210.” For those in the “know,” and I wasn’t one of them, that grouping of numbers told everything about the people who would be part of that series. 90210 is the zip code for Beverly Hills. Notice, we don’t even have to add “California.” And we all know what that name “Beverly Hills” means. “Beverly Hills” means big money, huge Hummer Houses, the hottest cars, designer duds, luxury, power, prestige, Rodeo Drive. If you can include the zip code 90210 in your home address, you reveal a lot about yourself, your family, your world.
